Applicability in Requirements Module

The "Applicability" attribute within Requirements & Systems Portal’s Requirements Module allows users to define which Block Types are relevant to a particular requirement. This is especially useful during the V-cycle, where requirements may only apply to certain variants, products, or specific types of Blocks, such as, electronics or mechanical systems.

For example, a requirement might apply to a specific product variant and its associated electronic Block. The Applicability field allows users to specify this relationship, ensuring that the requirement is accurately linked to the relevant Block Types.

How to Assign Block Types to a Requirement Copy Link Copied

1. Navigate to the Requirements module.

2. Locate the requirement you want to modify and double-click the cell in the Applicability column. Alternatively, select multiple requirements using the checkboxes in the Identifier column and then double-click the Applicability column cell of a selected requirement.

3. A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to select one or more Block Types that apply to the requirement.

4. Once the selection is made, the requirement will be associated with the chosen Block Types.

This feature provides flexibility in managing requirements based on product configuration or Block Type, ensuring more accurate tracking and alignment throughout development.
